FY 2013-2014 BUDGET:

THE CITY OF ENNIS ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT RAISED LESS TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN THE PRIOR YEAR'S RATE.

THE TAX RATE WAS EFFECTIVELY LOWERED BY 0.188447 PERCENT AND LOWERED TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $8.26.

“This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $188,833.00, which is a 1.96 percent increase from last year’s budget.  The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $13,371.00”

THE CITY OF ENNIS ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT RAISED MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S RATE.

THE TAX RATE WAS EFFECTIVELY RAISED BY 3.28 PERCENT AND RAISED TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $15.24.

FY 2011-2012 BUDGET:

THE CITY OF ENNIS ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT RAISED MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S RATE.

THE TAX RATE WAS EFFECTIVELY RAISED BY 4.49 PERCENT AND RAISED TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $12.10.

FY 2010-2011 BUDGET:

THE CITY OF ENNIS ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT RAISED LESS TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN THE PRIOR YEAR'S RATE.

THE TAX RATE WAS EFFECTIVELY LOWERED BY 3.29 PERCENT AND LOWERED TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $14.63.
