The Ennis Public Library serves the citizens of Ennis and the surrounding rural area.  It is the mission of the Ennis Public Library to maintain public access to local, national, and international sources of information.   These information resources include books, audiovisual materials, newspapers, periodicals, and the Internet.  The resources and services of the library meet the cultural, educational, informational, and recreational needs of the community.  

Some of the services provided are:

A 40,000+ item collection.

Wednesday morning story time for toddlers.

Summer Reading Programs for toddlers through high school students.

Public access computers with Microsoft Office and Internet connectivity.

Books on CD and cassette; movies on DVD and VHS tape.

Family programs in the evening on the 3rd Thursday of the month.

Local newspapers on microfilm from October 1953 to present.

Interlibrary loan program to borrow items from other libraries.

TexShare Databases.

TexShare cards.

Online Book Club. 

Library hours are:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursdays:  10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sundays:  closed
