Education has long been a top priority for residents in the Ennis Independent School District. Our students exhibit outstanding performance in the classroom as well as in athletics and extracurricular activities.
The Ennis Independent School District (EISD), formed in 1881, covers an area of 253.8 square miles in the southeastern corner of Ellis County and extends into a small area of Navarro County. Two early childhood centers; four elementary schools; two intermediate school for grades four, five and six; a junior high school for grades seven and eight; and a high school with a career center comprise our instructional campuses.
An expanded technology program is in place on all campuses. Each teacher has a desktop computer which is used for grade book records, interoffice mail, the internet, in-class instruction and is networked with the entire district.
